Introducing Our Characters
Here you’ll learn all about the people who inhabit the world of Princess Rose. Who’s your favourite?
Princess Rose
Rose has a mind sharper than a rose thorn soaked in lemon juice!
As a child Rose was never out of the garden, and her fascination for nature just grew and grew.
She can create a solution to any conundrum. She never allows the baddies to get away with their mischief, and she always finds clever ways to make their plans implode!
She has a weakness for buying secateurs.
Monty
Being royalty, I suppose most of Monty’s life has been well recorded.
However, what is not generally known is he is an awesome baker, his pièce de résistance being a Victoria sponge cake. He can come to tea anytime!
Also, he plays a flute rather well. Rose says he is a lovely musician. So sweet!
Monty suffers from ophidiophobia. Yes, I had to google it as well. He hides behind Rose if she points out a snake. I think the newspapers think it’s a shame he’ll never have a pet snake; they are missing out on some cracking headlines…
Milton
It was nearly a case of Paradise Lost if it hadn’t been for Milton’s heroic actions to save the woodland with Rose, Monty and Anita!
Milton, although quiet, is a bombshell when it comes to wildlife knowledge. He knows virtually everything!
He prefers to be on his own, but he does have one school friend, Vera Wren. He says he likes her because she is not loud like the other children, and she makes him laugh. She’s lovely; we may meet her if Milton has another adventure.
Anita
Level headed and reliable, who wouldn’t want a friend like Anita?
This green fingered, lover of nature is an expert in planting trees and choosing plants that are loved by bees and butterflies.
She has an effective drama avoidance strategy in place, and prefers to stand at the sidelines observing a story unfolding rather than being in the mêlée.
That is lucky for us, because she’s our narrator, and she knows how to tell a story.
She has a secret obsession for collecting the broken pottery and clay pipes she finds when gardening. Not even Rose knows! Shhhh!
Henry Popplewell
Pomp and circumference is what you get with Henry Popplewell, and a suitability bloated ego.
He is the loud one talking too much at parties and wanting all the attention. Oh, you’ve met his twin? Poor you.
He loves to be the big fish in a small pond so he is very proud of being the president of the village’s Fly Fishing Association. Membership approximately six.
He fancies himself as a bit of a snappy dresser, he must have one of those magic mirrors you get in children’s books…
Eileen Tussle-Turnsnott
Snotty by name and snotty by nature!
Eileen has always fancied herself as an aristocrat as her fourteenth cousin four times removed was rumoured to have been titled. Consequently, she named her bad tempered dog Windsor.
She considers most people to be beneath her, and will break the rules (and even the law!) to get what she wants.
And many more…
The world of Princess Rose is packed with wonderful characters for you to meet, love and loathe and they’re all ready for you to join them in Princess Rose’s latest adventure.
